ABOUT

Aija Elina Nieminen is a multidisciplinary artist and a part-time private detective.

Nieminen is interested in history, memory and old technology as well as comedy, sinister narratives and performances from theatre to everyday life. Her research interests include the Situationist International and the socio-political impact of art. Recently, she has been creating stories which play with form and narrative structures while examining the relationships between fact & fiction and comedy & drama. Nieminen is the dream weaver and master of the macabre. She steals quotes from Garth Marenghi and occasionally feels obligated to write about herself in third person.
