ABOUT

Aija Elina Nieminen is a multidisciplinary artist and a failed amateur private detective.

Nieminen is interested in history, memory and old technology as well as comedy, sinister narratives and performances from theatre to everyday life. Her practice ranges from lens-based media to performance, text and sound. Her research interests include the Situationist International and the socio-political impact of art. Nieminen is the dream weaver and master of the macabre. She steals quotes from Garth Marenghi and occasionally feels obligated to write about herself in the third person.
